Abbe Center for Community Mental Health

For your convenience, the Abbe Center is now offering SAME DAY ACCESS (SDA). This means that you do not need a scheduled appointment. You simply show up and are seen in the order that you arrive. You can choose from the days and times listed below to stop in for your initial visit.
SDA provides an initial mental health assessment with a licensed mental health professional that may provide recommendations based on your specific needs, and provide referrals for Therapy services, Medication Evaluation, Community-based services or Integrated Health Home services.

Benefits

  • Convenient for when you are ready to be seen
  • Initial Assessment takes place same day instead of scheduled weeks into the future

How much time should I allow for the SDA process?

We meet with people in the order that they arrive. While the average wait time from check-in until an appointment with a therapist is less than an hour, it may take longer. It depends on how many people are waiting to be seen and how long it takes to verify insurance coverage.

Who will I see?

You will meet with a licensed Mental Health Professional for an assessment. Based on the assessment, they may make recommendations for follow up services.

What will I need to bring?

  • Picture Identification
  • Insurance Card (s)
  • Co-Pay (if applicable)

What does it cost?

Abbe Center for Community Mental Health accepts most types of insurances. The cost of the Same Day Access appointment varies depending on insurance coverage. Individuals are responsible for all deductibles and/or insurance co-pays (if applicable) at the time of service.
If you do not have insurance, or if you have questions about insurance coverage, please contact us so that we may visit with you about options.
