Meeting the Mental Health Needs of Texas Tech Students
As the primary student mental health clinic on campus, the Student Counseling Center provides a safe environment for students to explore issues of concern, resolve psychological distress, and maximize their potential at Texas Tech University. Student Counseling Center Walk-In Clinic
No scheduled appointment necessary to initiate services! Walk-In to the SCC, fill out paperwork (this process takes about 30 minutes), and see a counselor for an initial intake for approximately another 30 minutes. For more details see the How To Get Started page.

It will be May 10th, 2016 before we can schedule new or returning clients for a first session following intake. We recommend the following alternatives for students who would like to begin therapy before May 10th, 2016:

If you would prefer to use your health insurance to pay for a private practitioner in the Lubbock community, you may contact our case manager, Bobbi Britton-Stroud, for more information.
