Chemical Dependency Outpatient Services
Chemical Dependency is an often misunderstood disease that touches and impedes the lives of thousands of people in our area each year. In fact, 12 percent of New York State residents experience a substance use disorder each year according to Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS).
Our approach to treatment is to help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their dependency on alcohol and drugs.
This heightened self-awareness helps people make the profound and often difficult changes necessary for a successful recovery.
We also work closely with families to help them learn how to support the recovery of their loved ones.
We offer individual, group and therapeutic family interventions, a drunk driving assessment and care coordination with legal providers and treatment courts. Our evidence-based practices include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Stages of Change, Motivational Enhancement, etc.
It all starts with an OASAS approved initial assessment to help determine a person’s appropriateness for treatment and level of care.
Mental Health Outpatient Services
We know how mental health challenges can adversely affect daily life and relationships. We also know that many adults accept their own mental illness as a part of their life that cannot be improved and they just “live with it.”
At Rochester Regional Health, we have treated thousands of people with mental illness and we know for a fact that recovery is definitely possible.
Our teams include psychiatrists, nurses and mental health therapists specially trained to help with challenges such as:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Bi-Polar Disorder
- Schizophrenia
- Trauma
- Co-Occuring Substance Abuse
Together, with our patients and families, we determine the best services to help patients recover. It all starts with an initial assessment to help us learn about you, followed by individual, family or group therapy, interventions, medication management, health monitoring and more.
Inpatient Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Services
We have inpatient units located at Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic. Referrals to inpatient units for patients are generally done through an outpatient therapist, admission transfers, or through psychiatric emergency in the Clifton Springs Emergency Department's Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP).
