Steve earned his undergraduate degree from Purdue University and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, and has been with MHAI since 1991. He is a recipient of the Webster-Kipfer Award for special achievement in public policy advocacy, a former Vice Chairman for Public Affairs and former member of the Board of Directors of the National Mental Health Association, and former Board Member of the American Society of Mental Health Association Professionals. He has been named to the National Directory of "Who's Who in Executives and Professionals" and by the Indiana Business Journal as a member of "Who's Who in Indiana Health Care." Steve has received gubernatorial appointments to the Indiana Mental Health Commission and the Medicaid Quality Advisory Committee. He currently serves as Chair of the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Advisory Committee.

Charlotte completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Southern California and her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, with a Minor in Disability Studies, from The University of Toledo. She has worked as a case manager and therapist with victims of domestic violence, child abuse, neglect and sexual abuse, as well as their families. Charlotte also has several years’ experience working with individuals with autism. Charlotte specializes in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy and Play Therapy.

Stan is a long-time trainer and advocate for the provision of addiction services. Stan comes to us with experience that includes the Training Officer at the Division of Mental Health and Addiction, the Director of the Fairbanks Research and Training Institute, and most recently the President of Unlimited Synergy. Stan holds certifications from the American Council on Education, the Addiction Technolgoy Transfer Center, the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery, the National Drug Abuse Training Center, The National Institute on Drug Abuse, and the National Institute on Alcoholism and Alchool Abuse. Stan has a BA from Purdue University in Psychology and has completed significant graduate work in Organizational Development.

Melissa has found her home in nonprofit accounting, happily serving fellow servants for nearly 20 years.

Michelle has been back with MHAI since February 2015, and serves as the Director for the Ambetter/Illinicare Health Ombudsman Program. As Director of the Ambetter/Illinicare Ombudsman program, her core purposes of the position is to manage and ensure proper handling of Ambetter and Illinicare Health member complaints and resolutions, and to act as the third-party mediator for plan issues related to members’ health benefits and coverage. Michelle holds degrees as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and as a Master of Human Resource Management. Michelle has over 20+ years of combined experience in Social Services, Business Operations, Health Insurance, and Healthcare Management. Michelle is also an Indiana Licensed Life, Health, and Accident Insurance Producer Agent. In addition, Michelle is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated an International Public Service Sorority.

Jill has practiced at CTS in their residency program gaining experience in multi-cultural issues and family therapy. Jill specializes in assisting families explore answers to difficult life problems and life transitions. While Jill prioritizes family interactions, she also works individually with children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma, grief, and other mental health issues. Jill is a CASA providing children’s advocacy through the Indiana juvenile court system and a member of AAMFT.

I am a Practical Nursing student at Brown Mackie College in Indianapolis. I will graduate in August of 2016. I have worked with teen girls and adults with eating disorders and have been fortunate enough to help many of them on their journey through recovery. I am a mom of a beautiful daughter who is in college seeking a degree in social work. I have a house full of animals (dogs) that are my other children.
